I recently purchased a used shipping container from a company called Mobi containers. We searched high and low for a reputable shipping container company and found one online I knew that I would eventually need a shipping container to use for storage. I was looking into purchasing a container for a couple of years now but could not afford it.

And with the economy being the way it is the prices have gone down and we were finally able to afford what we had been looking for.

We purchased a 40 foot steel cargo container. The used container was such a great investment it is used to store my extraneous items like tools, car parts etc.

My wife stores her personal items as well: sewing equipment, extra furniture that she is not quite ready to get rid of, and the list goes on. The shipping container that we purchased is grade “A” which means that there are no holes or leaks and it is wind and water tight. It came with vents at the top of the shipping container but for added security I purchased a lock box.

The container was delivered to my property and set exactly where I needed it. All we had to do was lay down railroad ties to get the container up off the ground. Shortly after it was delivered I painted it a midnight blue and added shelves for organization. My wife and I are very happy with it. I highly suggest using this company.

The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable and I actually learned a lot from the advice they gave me concerning the purchase of my 40 foot steel shipping container. When it comes to finding the perfect place for your belongings, you don’t really have too many choices to decide on. Should it be a storage container? A storage facility? Your house?

You can store things in your own home, which will cut down your own living space considerably. You can find a rental facility where row upon row of identical garage-like units are waiting to be filled with your things. These are often miles from your home with a waiting line to get into the main driveway to your space. Or, you can vow to never, ever buy more than you use. Nice thought. Not practical.

Next in deciding what form of storage you’ll end up with is the question do I rent? Do I lease? Do I buy?
